We wanted a shorter but not 3 day cruise and to different places other than long beach port. Got to go with friends for first time and it was great to have people t do things with when hubby wanted to lounge on balcony. Galveston seemed a reasonable distance for us and worked out good, but will fly next time. The 17 hour drive from phoenix was killer.

We stayed over night in Galveston and boarded the next day. The embarkation was smoothest and quickest I have ever had, they do a great job at that port. Debarkation was just as smooth. Kuddos to the port staff in Galveston!!!!
