Southeast Asia Itinerary and wanted a southern climate in winter, so we chose this cruise. Minus the problems with the air and arriving in a rainy Hong Kong a day late (the night before the cruise), we had a wonderful time. Celebrity did exactly what it promised. Ship provided exceptional entertainment and food. Cabins were big and roomy, and our oceanview had a huge window.

The ports were wonderful. Each one so different from the next. We did a private tour of Halong Bay (Asia Expeditions--perfect), but did On Your Own Buses to the cities through the cruise lines. All worked well, but be aware. All the Vietnam ports and Thailand are at industrial ports with nothing to see without lengthy transportation (2 hours) into the cities.

Be ready for long-ish rides. We did not hit warm and sunny weather until Thailand, but, then, Singapore was great and very warm as well.Be sure to overnight in Bangkok and Hanoi--you cannot see the cities in a day. In fact, I would have liked an extra day for Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok--just not enough time. Felt piecemealed.

Cabin 04

Large cabin with plenty of storage. Turndown bed with chocolate. Exceptionally clean. Huge window.Middle of ship. Near Main Lobby.

Port Reviews

Hong Kong

Rain, so we never made it to Victoria Peak. Did Hop On Hop Off Bus and Star Ferry. Fun. Loved the markets and temples.

Singapore

We used Hop-On, Hop-Off here that met us at the ship. Very good, but some long waits during transfer. Incredible port: botantical garden, orchid garden, Arab village, Chinatown, Little India, Gardens By the Bay, Night Safari and the light show from the Bay.

A few more tips/ observations for recent SE Asia cruise on Celebrity Millenneum.

HK port is far from ship, and you can't observe harbor light show from location.

Hop On Hop Off buses are fine in HK and Singapore, but add in time.

No public washer/dryers on ship. You can send out clothes-Discount for previous guests.

Celebrity Millenneum is beautiful ship--must have been in dry dock recently.

Stay in Bangkok in hotel near drop-off point for buses. Novotel Platinum was great.

Hoi An versus Hue? As pretty as Hoi An was, I felt it was akin to a Vietnam Disneyland.

Take chances, I chose a motorbike ride through Halong Bay City (only tendered port). Fantastic!
