Viking Sky crew welcoming passengers back onto the ship with champagne

The many repeat Viking cruisers on this ship provides proof that they enjoy the itineraries and accomodations Viking provides. Excellence in service is the norm, but the way the crew attends to the "one-offs" and occasional mis-steps by going above and beyond to make things right is the real proof of this high class operation. The ship is cleaned inside and out each day. The cabin service is spotless and the bed sheets are changed steamed/ironed so that they appear brand new each evening. The balcony glass partitions are scrubbed so that the salt water spray disappears and provides a clear view of the town you are docked in. The ship exterior is always washed and scrubbed. The dining room sitting is almost immediate and the alternate World Cafe is great for quick dinners before the shows or lectures. Disembarkation with the tenders is stress-free and moves quite quickly, but most of the time you could walk right onto the dock and directly into town. Where the town is a bit farther away, a free bus shuttle is provided and is very convenient.
