We chose this cruise because it left from Mobile (a short drive), it was very inexpensive, and we had never been on Carnival.

Positive observations: spacious, comfortable rooms; large window in our ocean view cabin; surprisingly good food in dining rooms, wonderful attitude from most of the service staff.

Negative observations: lack of outlets in cabin ( could easily be modified by changing out lamps for fixtures with charging outlets), inconsistent breakfast times, lack of hair dryer in cabin, lack of good ventilation on deck 9 (smoke from casino and bar permeated the surrounding area, and much of the good music entertainment was in that area), bars were sometimes understaffed.
