This was our first ever cruise and we chose Celebrity based on good reviews and ratings and we were not disappointed. The itinerary was perfect and included all the Italian and French highlights. We particularly enjoyed the Amalfi coast, Nice and Florence. The ship was amazing and very stylish. The service was excellent in all areas and staff were friendly and cheerful. We really enjoyed the food and entertainment and our favourites included El Bacio Café, the Martini Bar and Qsine. Our room was adequate in size and kept clean and tidy by the room steward. We enjoyed all the ports and did the ship's shore excursion for most of them. The excursions were generally good and informative and of course took the stress out of booking your own tours. The only cons were that the drinks in the cabin are not included in the drinks package and we unwittingly used up two bottles at extra cost. Also, the crew are often asking you to buy a dining package, photo, drinks package etc.

  • Aix-en-Provence
Aix-en-Provence is a very quaint spot which is quintessentially French. Just like Taomina it does not have that many sights, but this tour was saved by the tour guide who was excellent. He spoke very well and was interesting and funny to listen to. There was some free time (45min) which was more than enough time for a coffee and some browsing.

  • Amalfi Coast
Did a trip to Pompeii and Amalfi coast. Pompeii was interesting and not to be missed. The Amalfi coast offered great scenery for photos. Really enjoyed this, although the food at lunch was average.

  • Best of French Riviera
This was a very interesting and enjoyable excursion. We visited Nice, a perfume factory, Cannes and St Paul de Vence. The places were varied and interesting. We particularly enjoyed St Paul de Venice and wish we could have more time here. The perfume factory felt a little like it was designed to make you spend money, but we did not mind as we love perfume. Cannes is dirty and overrated.

  • City Tour
This was a half day tour of Taomina. It was a nice spot, but does not have that much to see. I felt the walking tour included some spots which were not that interesting and spend to long at each stop in order to stretch the time. The Roman theatre is up a few steps, but worth it as this is the highlight.
