EXCURSION  We went on the Circle of Antigua 9am - 3pm for $99 and it was pretty much worth the money.  The only part that was disappointing was that the Snorkeling was done as a Tour and the tour operators were adament that you waited for everyone and we would all go together.  That sucks because with everyone kicking it makes for poor visibility.  There were 4 Tour Leaders and they should have broken us up into smaller groups to let us more experienced people go on our own.  Then we got drunk after snorkelling and had a lovely time.  

Antigua

Aruba is my favourite island.      
EXCURSION  We did the Beach Express tour for $49/person.  I think this tour could have been done not through the ship, but we still found good value. The party bus took us to a beach where you could swim out to a shipwreck - good snorkeling. Gear included. Then the bus came back an hour later and took us to the beach in front of the RIU aruba - great sandy beach.    
DOWNTOWN  Shops were average priced - better deals can be found in St. Thomas. Flea Market along the strip was ok.     
  

Aruba

Waste of time to go into town - nothing much there.   Book a snorkel adventure.    
EXCURSION  We booked the Champagne Reef tour through the boat.  Snorkelling was done with a guide but he let us drift on ahead as long as we were in partners and there were 4 guides surrounding the group, so they weren't as anal about staying together as they were in Antigua. Excellent location for snorkelling - reef is colourful.    
    

Dominica

We were really impressed with the Taxi service in this country. No need to book through the ship.     
Excursion - we hired the taxi to do the 3 hr island tour.  Driver was great - the French side finally had unique shopping in the town compared to the other islands. Driver also stopped at Orient Beach, the largest beach which also had a nude section - interesting but such a tease since we only stopped for 10 minutes. We also went to the beach that is famous for having aircraft fly over it.  Well when we were there there were no flights.  Try to get there at 45 minutes after the hour starting at 2:45pm as that is when the flights come in (schedule is posted in the bar on the beach). So since there was no flight, to us it was just another beach - boring.     
DOWNTOWN  We told the taxi to end the tour downtown instead of going back to the docks.  Downtown has excellent shopping. Beach in the downtown area is wonderful with water taxi going back to the ship every 5 minutes!  $6 for a wristband for unlimited rides on the taxi.   

St. Maarten

Was nice - on the 12th floor R338 - it was great being so close to the pool, however being an "even" number, our closest exit to the pool area takes you right through to the smoking section (yuck).

STATE ROOM SERVICE    
average - I miss the towel animals - they don't do that anymore :(    
  FOOD    
Was pretty good in the buffet area, and excellent in the dining room.POOL  small - water volleyball was a pain in the butt as the pool was so small the ball kept going out of the area    
CRUISE DIRECTOR/STAFF  Average - fun morning show, but average in everything else    
  EXCURSIONS  Excellent snorkeling excursions - we only did two.
