I went on the Princess Cruise from Barcelona to Spain in April 2017 and was blown away by the food, cruise, entertainment and excursions and promptly came home and told my parents they HAD to cruise on the Princess line. For my retirement my parents decided we would go on a cruise to somewhere we had not been. When my travel agent found this cruise to Aruba we jumped on it. Boy was cruising on the Crown Princess a mistake. The food was pretty but boring. No spices really. The entertainment for the first night was a surprise soprano and they performed the music mostly in Italian (I think). Then they did a Motown musical and while the voices were nice, there just was no energy. The winner of the talent show was a 91 year old passenger. The service on the Crown Princess was excellent. The ship also was very clean. We had a mini-suite which was very spacious and the balcony was nice to sit on. The shops did not have that many great items to purchase. The shops at the ports were okay. If you have a scooter (which we did have), it just barely fits into the mini-suites and the hallway on the Crown is very narrow.

I have been on about 8 other cruises and loved all of the other cruises. This was just a disappointing cruise.
