Sail Date: Jan 2018
Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

Went with a group of folks on the Norwegian Epic from January 13 - January 20th. Overall it was a nice trip in spite of the ship. Lets get on with it shall we?

Ports Visited: Nassau, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Stirrup Cay

Weather: This was a very unusual trip in that almost every port we visited was overcast with the exception of our last stop which was Stirrup cay (Norwegians Island). Even that visit was fairly cool and none of us went in the water because of it.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BB

Cabin was very nice but somewhat tight. The room was always kept clean and our steward (Kim) took very good care of us during our trip. The balcony was nice but small. Unfortunately it was simply too cool to sit outside.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Stayed in Days Inn by Orlando Airport. Room was nice however the floor was disgusting. I took a shower and the water was black when it ran by my feet. We only stayed the night however I notified the Hotel manager upon our departure about the room.

Nassau

We wound up going over to the Atlantis which was nice but definitely showing its age. The whole compound really needs a face lift, especially the casino. Downtown Nassau was busy since 4 cruise ships were in and we were happy to get away from the crowds.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

This was our favorite port by far. We stopped by Diamonds International and shopped a bit. The island was clean and pleasant as were the people. We really enjoyed our stay there. We just wished the weather was nicer since our snorkel excursion wound up getting cancelled.

Great Stirrup Cay

This was a very nice visit and the first day that we had half way decent weather. We rented a cabana and had a very nice stay on the island. There was a buffet lunch and we had our own cabin attendant that brought us drinks rather frequently.
