Celebrity Summit Cruise Review by woodside50
- Sail Date: January 2018
- Destination: Southern Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Sky Suite 2
The Summit is a beautiful ship, a bit older and smaller than the newer Celebrity S class Ships, but has a wonderful friendly vibe, and a great crew, starting at the top with Captain Kate.
Our cabin was a Sky Suite 6124, which featured an amazing cabin steward Adhy who was wonderful as well as Chip our butler. Together they took care of any request we had, although most before we had a chance to ask. We had most of our meals in Luminae, which was fabulous. Not one bit pretentious or stuffy and had wonderful food and excellent service. Our waiters, Kazi, and Juan Pablo and their assistants were remarkable in getting to know our tastes and preferences as well as bringing extra dishes to be shared that could not be missed (fresh pasta, scallops, etc). Our sommelier, Maggie, was extremely helpful in broadening our horizons in selecting wine we otherwise would not have tried.
It was so nice to see a former waiter from a previous cruise, Willmer, who is now in training to supervise the spotless Oceanview cafe where there is always something to enjoy.
Another friendly face on the Summit was Eugenia, who manages the perfume and cosmetic shop. She was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in assisting us to use up our onboard credit on great value and fun products.

Catamaran TourBest port day ever! Nick, the Captain of the Calypso Girl and his crew are the ultimate hosts providing 5 hours of sun, fun, snorkeling, swimming with the turtles and an incredible assortment of meals , snacks and adult beverages. This captain and his crew of 2 limit the passengers to 14 and this provides and extremely personalized and friendly experience. They are the nicest and most funny and friendly crew you could meet and go above and beyond to provide each guest with a great experience.View All 96 Catamaran Tour Reviews

St. CroixWe went to Rainbow beach by minibus and rented chairs and umbrellas. The beach was nice but crowded, and had sustained some damage from the storm causing it to lose some sand. The restaurant looked incredible as they were cutting fresh fish mahi mahi on the side the building, Smelled great, and looking forward to visiting again after St Croix recovers further from the devastating storm.View All 421 St. Croix Cruise Port Reviews

Sulphur Springs Mud BathThe land and sea tour included a catamaran to the Pitons, tour of the mud bath at the foot of the volcano , tour of the botanical gardens which was very interesting, lunch at a plantation and snorkeling and catamaran back to the port. Our guide Babalou was very good. The food at the plantation was not great and the drinks on the catamaran were only on the return trip and only included beer and rum punch. Was good to do it once.View All 48 Sulphur Springs Mud Bath Reviews
