This was our 2nd cruise, the first was in 2013 on the Fascination. The first disclaimer, as many have heard, a passenger died on the first night of this cruise so that may have impacted anything I found to be strange.

We had a great time on this cruise, I can say that I enjoyed the level of entertainment, the trivia, the food etc. Some small touches that were missing from last time that I was disappointed in were the lack of Breathe Rite strips, lotions, etc in our bathroom. The lack of chocolates after out evening turndown and the lack of interaction that the captain had with us including the fact that we never saw him on elegant night as I thought we would (this may have been related to the increased security with the death having happened the day before). I know those are minor things but I noticed them missing.

The food on this cruise and the nice dining room made up for it for sure. As I said, the captain not being as interactive may have been from the death, I am not sure but I could have used a bit more of that interaction.
