A friend chose it. The noise was high in almost all the public spaces. The atrium area was always noisy.
even the Savor and Taste restaurants were so noisy that it was difficult to carry on a conversation. The cruise director was risque but just avoided vulgar. But his energy level was such that he sounded like an infomercial pitchman most of the time. The assistant cruise director did not not manage to avoid the line. He was flat out crude. Not a family atmosphere. I thought better of NCL than that. They always turned to volume up so loud that is could be heard on three decks, but was distorted.
The service in the restaurants was very good. The food was mostly well-prepared and the service would not have been out of place on the Cunard ships. The staff at O'Sheehan's was amazing. Quick service on the food, friendly servers and management that was always on the alert for ways to improve things. The service and food at Cirque Steam was good and prompt.
Big enough for two people - nice bath area with a two faucet sink. Barely enough closet for two people on a 1 week cruise. Beds were acceptable, but not the soft cozy bed I love on Holland America. The balcony was so shallow that there was only enough room for to chairs and a small table. No lounger. The room was equipped with a drop down third bunk, but can not imagine how crowded that would have been. The couch was hard and uncomfortable. The steward was only adequate. She did what was asked, but it was necessary to ask to have the tissues refilled, and washcloths and hand towels were rare enough that we took to fetching our own.
NIce port, great little shops, friendly people.
Shops were more expensive, but the butterfly room and tropical bird exhibits were nice.
Nothing but shops, expensive shops. One lady tried to return her souvenirs when she walked down the street a few blocks and found them for 1/4 the price.
