We were recommended this cruise by a Travel Agent as there were four couples going (my partner and I, my siblings, their spouses, and my parents, ages ranging from 26 to 61). We bought a package that included drinks (worth it) and three special dinners (semi-worth it). First of all, it took over two hours to embark. They were very unorganized! Second, we quickly decided to book our three dinners to ensure we could all sit together, but found out that all of the restaurants were booked except for the 8:45pm seatings. And this was only one hour after we left port!! The dining was okay but not great. The evening events/shows were also quickly booked, so we only got to see one of the shows. We were very disappointed. Some of the shows had good reviews but we were unable to see most of them. Third, the Norwegian app (that you have to pay for to use) is AWFUL. It always malfunctioned and had to be restarted. We were not able to book events or excursions using it, nor could we reliably chat with each other, which would have been useful when we wanted to meet up.

The up side, 95% of the staff were great! Our cabin staff were especially wonderful and the rooms were comfortable; however, the layout of the boat was frustrating. The elevators were very slow and some floors had priority access which created even longer waits. We mostly took the stairs, but in the mornings we would take the elevator up the 14 flights of stairs to get to the buffet area.

Further, the pools were very small and were always completely full of kids and adults. There were some activities during the day but most of them were for kids or cost extra. The lines to book excursions or even speak with a guest relations representative was always very long. Information regarding booking events or the tenders was also confusing. We were not impressed. The prices for all the "extras" were also very expensive. We will not be going on another Norwegian cruise any time soon.
