The service on the Lido has really gone down hill. Plates piled up on the tables. People eating their whole meals with the plates and such piled on the table from the last group. We cruised with Princess the week before and their Lido staff was great. I talked to one group and they said that when they asked on of the staff on the Lido if they could clear off a table for them, the person said that it was not their job and walked away. Carnival has cut to the bone. See Cabin Review below. Our Cabin Steward was very good and I understand that she could not do anything about the smell in the cabin. The Menu in the dining room has gotten boring and the number of choices has gone down. One night our dinning room steward forgot to bring my appetizer until I was halfway through my main course. In general the ship looks good, and the entertainment was good.

Cabin Review

Cove Balcony

Cabin 7C

**WARNING** Do not book this cabin or any of the Coves Balconies in this area. There is a strong Sewer Gas smell on the Balcony and it comes into the cabin. I talked to the Steward Supervisor and she admitted that it was a long time problem. I went to Guest Services and they said they would look into it and get back to me, but did not. I even talked to the Hotel Manager and told him, but nothing happened. They moved the people next to us down to deck 1 after they got sick from the smell.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Needs more shade at the pool. The chairs are out in the sun all day. We did not stay.
