Embarkation was seamless. We were delayed in going on the ship due to the ship being given some award but the staff handled it very well.
We tend to choose cruises for the itinerary. Unfortunately for us this cruise was during a cold spell as well as rainy. We only went off the ship twice. We went to explore Harvest Caye. This is a beautiful island with lots to do. The pool is huge! The beach is awesome and there are lots of deck chairs. The way it is portrayed on the Norwegian site is dead on! We went off in Honduras to get Honduran coffee and cigars so we cannot say much about that stop. We were quite enthused in reading the itinerary to see the hours that this ship was to be in port-lots of time to do excursions, shop or just explore.
We had a room with a large balcony. The balcony had 2 chairs, 2 lounges and a table high enough and big enough to eat from. The room was a typical balcony room. I do wish Norwegian had actual drawers rather than shelves. There are 2 drawers under the sofa but, for us older folks, they are difficult to open. The closet has the part with hangers beside the sofa and the shelves in the open. The hangers banged on the wall and the closet door when the sea was roughist. The bathroom was great! Large shower, room for cosmetic bag and toiletries.
Excellent room! Good view of the ocean and/or land.Room was large enough for the two of us. We have been in this size room before with four people and it is small for that many. Bathroom was good size. Shower was great! Holden, our room steward, was very attentive. We needed to have the bed propped up a bit and egg crates put on. He did an excellent job for us.
