We selected this Southern Caribbean cruise because of the itinerary - 5 ports in 7 days! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Loved our balcony cabin and the customer service was excellent. My only gripe is the nickel and diming when it comes to beverages. Neither my husband or I are heavy drinkers, but we like the occasional cappuccino, soda or sparkling water and it seems absurd to have to pay $26 each for these basic beverages. I know this is not unique to Royal Caribbean, but I find it irritating, nonetheless. Other than that, everything was great. I have heard some complain that Jewel is a smaller ship, but it met all of our needs. With the exception of the tiny bathroom, our cabin felt spacious and there were lots of storage areas. Our Cabin attendant also took very good care of us. I do think it would be nice for RC to consider stocking something other than soap in the bathrooms - Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion - these are all standard in most hotel rooms. The food in the main dining room was excellent. Windjammer was average and food wasn't always hot, but we certainly didn't go hungry. The floor in some areas of the Windjammer was slippery - they should either change the tile or wipe it down more regularly.
Our cabin was extremely quiet and we rarely heard noise from our neighbors or others outside the room. Bed was comfortable and we loved our balcony! With the exception of the tiny bathroom, our cabin felt spacious and there were lots of cleverly designed storage areas. Our Cabin attendant Arthur took very good care of us.
