Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

We chose this cruise/ship due to a casino promotion, it was supposed to be the Epic but that ship was cancelled and this was our alternative destination/ship.

GOOD: First time on Norwegian and I am most certainly blown away by their customer service (at least on the phone). Storage- I am also very impressed with the amount of storage in a balcony mid-ship room. Tons more storage than on the budget cruise line's mid-ship balcony. Mini-bar was emptied at our request so that we could use it to keep desserts cold etc. Norwegian Getaway (and hopefully their other ships) have the buffet down to a T!!! Dining Buffet- The long front to back design replicated on both sides eliminates the need to stand in long lines just to get to a certain item. You can cut in and out and around in their designs without irritating anyone or being in the way. In addition, their seating in the buffet dining room is perfect with no issues finding a seat at any time. There are plenty of seats for 2 so as to not make couples take up a whole table for 4. O'Sheehan's (think it was 24 hr) was good place for your sports fix with no long waits and awesome strawberry pound cake and it is included in your free food. Entertainment- the free shows are spectacular! They have truly talented stars staffing them and you can tell. Spa- We purchased the spa pass prior to sailing and it was worth the money and easy to use and the amenities were spot on! Also used several of their services (massages and and a facial) and they were very good. Exursions- very good and worth the money due to the 50 per port refund d/t company promotion.

BAD: Room- The mattresses were a bit worn out and leaned to the outer edge. We asked our room steward to flip them around so that my husband had the more worn out side (he sleeps on anything) and they did and so I slept better. There were no beach towels in room until we asked for them on 2nd day. Casino- Our casino cards weren't in our room and had to ask for them at casino desk. We found out they had been sent to room (they arrived 3/4 of the way through the 2nd day) but they replaced them immediately at the desk. Also smoking is allowed in large area of casino. Finance-

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Tons of storage but bed was worn and leaning to outer edge of mattress. Had staff flip it around for us so that the hubby could sleep on the worst side. Love that the doors are recessed so that the hallway is easier to navigate. Plenty of room in bathroom with plenty of storage.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

My husband did the zip line and he enjoyed it very much and I joined him for the electric boats which was very nice as well. We also enjoyed the pool and beach (just keep walking down to the area by zipline for quieter beach and more room). The chicken fingers that we ate there was good as well. Very nice island that they have created.
