This was our first time cruising and we were really not sure if we would like it or not. I had done lots of research on the ship and cabin classes offered by Celebrity. We really liked the ship. Other reviews talked about how the ship was old, or showing her age, but really there was nothing wrong beyond a few areas of worn carpet we could see. Our cabin (1105) was in good shape and nothing was damaged or worn. We also liked the food on the shp. It was high quality from the buffet to the high-end dining. The staff was very friendly and engaging. They wanted to do their best for you with very few exceptions. We enjoyed the activities on the ship like trivia and gambling. The shows on the ship were also very good. Very good singers and dancers and two outstanding aerial artists. Captain Kate made the days special with her announcements and I was shocked she was waiting to say goodbye on disembarkation day. Sadly by the time you read this she will likely have made the move to to the Equinox. The Summit's loss is the Equinox's gain. Exploring the Caribbean islands really worked out well with the ship. We would fuel up on breakfast, go out on a tour or excursion, then come back for a late lunch, then finish by going out for shopping. Then it was back on the ship and ready for dinner. It was nice not having to worry where to eat meals like you would on a regular vacation. And as an older couple it was nice having your room move around with you if you didn't feel well that day.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class
Cabin A1 1105
Cabin was very good and in good shape. Not worn or damaged. I was surprised at what wasn't in the cabin after reading other reviews and seeing YouTube videos though. We got the 3 apples and slippers but, no champagne, no rose, no robes. Eventually we got the champagne but having to ask for it later really destroyed the experience.

Also there was nothing to tell us what came with our class like the spa and eating at Blu. It's like they assumed you knew everything already.

I really felt lost as a new cruiser and felt Celebrity really let us down there.
