We sailed on the Anthem when it made its initial crossing from Southampton to NJ in 2015. We chose this cruise for the number of sea days (5) and for the ease in getting to the port from North Carolina (direct flight to Newark on United). Although portions of the cruise were great, we were disappointed in others. Most enjoyed were the various daytime activities (even though they need to revise their trivia questions), the SeaPlex facility (Roller Skating, the Trapeze class, Bumper Cars and game tables), "We Will Rock You", our cabin steward and the Cruise Director's staff. We were disappointed in the dining since the last time we were on the ship. Although we knew changes to the dining had been made since our last voyage, we were unaware that Dynamic Dining has been completely eliminated. Also, the menu in the main dining rooms offered fewer selections each night than we have had on other RCCL ships. The Windjammer was always too crowded and the food selections in the Solarium was totally unappealing. As to entertainment, except for We will Rock You, most shows were only so-so and Spectra's Cabaret is horrible. For the technology that is available in 270, I don't know why RCCL can't put on a better show. We missed out on the iFLY experience due to weather. When I made reservations the only days that were available were at the end of the cruise which prevented us in rebooking for a later time. I learned later that reservations can be made for port days after you arrive to the ship. Also, not all reservation times for the North Star are available pre-cruise. Our excursions were okay, but nothing to write home about. If you've seen one island, you've seen them all. We will definitely go on another RCCL cruise, but probably look for another ship in the future.

Great cabin at the front of the ship - roomy and our stateroom attendant was fantastic.
