We choose this cruise because we wanted to try a "mega" ship. It was not what we had expected. First, the passengers in general were very rude. They were pushing and shoving trying to get on or off an elevator. People have no idea what "inside voices" mean. The noise level at some times was ridiculous. They nickel and dime you to death. We have done many, many, cruises (28 to be exact) and not once did we have to worry about a $25.00 a towel charge. Also, for a ship that is that large to have one towel station in the middle of the deck, and you have to walk that distance is stupid. The Windjammer has one way in and one way out for 6000 people, there are two sides but never are they open at the same time. Plus the lines to get in are ridiculous. At times there was a 15 min. wait just to get into the buffet. This ship is very "self serve" there is one bar person for an entire deck and if you want a drink, get up and get it. Nobody is going to get that drink for you. Same with coffee in the Windjammer. The dinning room, for us was a joke. They put us next to the serving station so all night my husband kept getting hit with trays or waiters. We asked to switch tables to the one across from us but was told, NO. Nobody sat at that table the whole time we were there, so it wasn't reserved. There are so many rules and regulations on this ship that they make you feel like a two year old, instead of adults who are on a well deserved vacation. It has been a very long time since we have sailed RCC, and I think if will be a very long time before we do it again. We will stick to cruise lines that know how to treat guests as guests. The entertainment was very good, and one of the specialty restaurants is very good. Our experience at Chops was not the best. Service was very rushed, and the food was sub-par. Our shore excursion got cancelled. Our cabin was very nice, and our stewardess was lovely, that was a very pleasant experience.
Our cabin was wonderful. Clean, and very well kept. Our stewardess was great. This was a very pleasant experience.
