Sail Date: Dec 2017
Cabin: Balcony

Basically, one has to say: The SPIRIT has had almost 20 years on its back since its launch. Therefore, a comparison with the ships we have sailed with so far is not quite fair (TUI MY SHIP 3, CELEBRITY EQUINOX). In addition, we had about 90% of the English people on board, which I will not comment on here. Nevertheless, there are deficiencies that are independent of the age of the ship.

Stateroom

We had a balcony stateroom, which was very well soundproofed. We haven't heard anything from our neighbours or passengers in the corridor. Basically, the stateroom and especially the balcony feels smaller than on other ships. They are equipped with everything you need. If you frequently blow-dry your hair, you should take a hair dryer with you. In the bathroom, there is only a completely obsolete hairdryer hanging on the wall that quickly overheats. Sufficient coat hangers available. However, limited space in the closet due to mineral water bottles, which are provided as part of the PREMIUM ALL INCLUSIVE package. Meaning for us: 12 days x 1 bottle per day x 2 persons = 24 litre bottles stored in the closet on arrival. This is a wasted space, especially since we only used 12 bottles in the end. If there are no bathrobes on your stateroom (only stateroom with balcony or suites), persistently hitchhike. With us they were brought after 2x times demand. We found coffee and tea machines very pleasant. However, water from the bottle should be used. Partially torn bed linen are not necessary.
