I struggle to find the words to describe the joy that my hubby and I found in cruising to Tasmania on the Diamond Princess. One of the reasons that we chose an 8 day cruise because we had not been on a large ship before and hubby gets sea sick. He did not on the Diamond! We also chose a balcony cabin because we knew the scenery would be amazing. We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at Sabatinis and it was wonderful. Its so difficult to choose a highlight of the cruise but the Wineglass Bay cruising afternoon was simply stunning, sitting on our balcony, drinking champagne and listening to the commentary was very very memorable. The staff and the caring service that they give is absolutely world class, we are ruined because wherever we are we can't help but remember the outstanding onboard service and nothing since( being on the Diamond) comes anywhere near close to that standard.

We loved the Japanese Baths, the Trivia games, eventhough we are very poor at trivia! We enjoyed learning two new dances a cha cha and a tango. The show 'Bravo' was simply amazing. We chose Anytime Dining and The Main Dining Room, the food, the service and the company was just wonderful, such a joy. The cozy bars and coffee spots were great too. We enjoyed the live music and had a lot of fun walking from venue to venue with our dancing shoes and hitting the dancefloor. The only issue I had was all our clothes shrunk, must have been the sea air, or something, everything we ate! We loved the cruise so much we booked a NZ cruise on the Majestic for December this year. Thank you Princess.

The cabin was very comfortable, loved the bed and the pillows. When we came home we went to Pillow Talk and purchased the 'same' pillows as was onboard the Diamond.
