My wife and I are part of a group that plays softball in Freeport and Nassau every year. Last year we cruised on this same ship, the Carnival Liberty, the same month last year.

Last year I was very impressed by this ship including the dining, activities, room, etc. We have cruised about 20 times and Carnival was not high on our list, but last year's Carnival Liberty left a good impression.

Not so this year, the food in the Dining Room was subpar to say the least. Besides the Flat Iron steak the entrees were mediocre at best. And the appetizers! The "scallops" consisted of 3 dime sized pieces about a quarter in thick. Since everyone got the exact same size and shape, I have to believe they were not scallops. Even bay scallops are larger. The Ahi tuna consisted of 3 1-1/2 inch strips - you'd have to order 4 to get a real appetizer.
