We had gone on a river cruise with Viking and decided to escape winter with the Caribbean Explorer. The itinerary was wonderful with a new island every day and the tours included were very well done. The specialty restaurants were fantastic. We could get one reservation before the cruise but I found out that there were reservations available after embarkation. We ate at the Chef's Table three times and all of them were wonderful. The Chef's Table changes their fixed menu every two to three days and they are all worth trying. I loved the staff who were all helpful and pleasant. Our cabin was comfortable and clean. I loved sitting on our balcony.

We really enjoyed all of the music that was available all over the ship. We listed to the pianist, the classical guitarist and the string quartet and never got to the shows! We like to dance but there was a limited opportunity for ball room dancing.

The shop is a nice size not too big but with lots of different places to sit.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

Our cabin was very comfortable. This was perhaps the most comfortable bed that I have slept on. Our steward was wonderful, very friendly. Our cabin was clean.
