Sail Date: Jan 2018

Sailed on the MSC Seaside Western Caribbean (which was supposed to be Eastern Itinerary but was changed). This was our first (an last) cruise with MSC. I will begin by saying that as we boarded the ship on embarkation day and entered the main atrium, the smell of sewage permeated the ship. It was downhill from there. I have been on 35 cruises on every cruise line and this was the WORST cruise line I have ever sailed on. The service (from bar to dining room to pool and beyond) was atrocious. The staff was the most unfriendly and disengaged staff ever seen. We sat at a table for ten at the main dining room and the food was well below adequate. Every night, we would only have 6-7 menus on the table and would have to share them. On Day 4 of a 7 night cruise, my wife ordered Salmon off the Classic, every night menu. When her dinner arrived, our waiter told us they had run out of salmon, "but here is a cod fish" and plopped it down at her seat. That was one of the highlights of the service for the week. The entertainment was mediocre, at best, There is no "live" orchestra, all the music is canned and the entertainers are lip syncing their vocals.

The staterooms have no storage area at all, most of our clothes had to stay in our luggage and be brought out as needed. The staterooms are the smallest I have ever seen and the design was awful.

MSC advertises some very cheap cruise prices (and I now know why). I say, save your money, spend more and go on a REAL cruise line. My wife and I will NEVER cruise them again.

Cabin Review

Cabin Interior

Cabin was small and poorly designed. Very little space for clothes. Closet was inaccessible due to the sliding doors.
