Sail Date: Dec 2017

Booked for a fantastic price, and fun to be at sea to celebrate New Year's Eve as well as visit islands we have never explored before. Beautiful ship with lots of amenities, and deluxe balcony cabin was great. The ship was booked at full passenger capacity however embark, disembark and getting on/off the ship while in port was very easy and no delays. We did however notice some issues we have not previously encountered sailing with Princess, so this was a bit disappointing.

1. Hygiene

Washrooms in high traffic public areas near dining rooms, piazza, theatre, and sanctuary pool were often dirty - paper towels on floor, and often no soap in the soap dispensers. There were often sinks out of order with signs on then indicating "under maintenance". Previous cruises had attendants stationed there during peak periods, but no one was there this time. On embark day there was a hand-washing station at the buffet out of order and there was no staff at the buffet or the dining rooms reminding passengers to wash/sanitize their hands. Considering the Captain announced that there was a flu virus outbreak on board the ship – there was not enough attention given to sanitization/cleaning of these high traffic areas.
