We chose this particular cruise because of the itenary -to go through the new locks of the Panama Canal. This was our first cruise with Princess. We were not overly impressed with the ship. Our balcony cabin was smaller than the balcony cabin we have had on Carnival. For the price, we expected more. Everything was just OK, but not as fancy as we had expected. There were only two big stage productions on a ten day cruise. You had to get to the theater minimum of one hour early to get a seat. The two buffet food lines had the same food in each line. The pizza and burgers were good. Service was good. A toilet problem in our bathroom was fixed in a timely manner and our cabin steward was very helpful. The ship was super clean - I saw a cleaning woman scrubbing a public bathroom floor on her hands and knees! Embarkation and disembarkment were especially efficient. The Panama Canal is not to be missed! For us, the days at sea were very boring, but we aren’t interested in the pool activity. Perhaps the activity level was geared to the age of the passengers, most of whom were 75+. Definitely an older crowd!
