The Serenade of the Seas is a smaller boat. The service is better and the crowds are less, which is nice, but some of the activities lacked enough people, but we had the opportunity to meet the captain and head chef multiple times. The ship is in great condition. The cabin is a cabin. Dining was excellent. Waiter was excellent. Junah took the time to cut my son's steak every night for him. The Abbacadabra show was the best cruise ship show I've ever seen. Service was great. The real story with the ports was the damage from the hurricanes. The islands are still recovering and there is a lot of damage to be seen with washed up boats on the coast and torn up roofs. The airport in St. Maarten just isn't the same, when there aren't any planes taking off or landing. I probably prefer 1 class larger of cruise ship, but the experience was great on the Serenade.
