A friend suggested this itinerary. I took my son and daughter (age 25 and 20) on their first cruise and was looking for a European trip during the holiday break. It was not ideal for the kids to meet peers but there were other benefits and advantages. My daughter and I had the suite and my son had an interior cabin a few doors down on the 9th deck. The 3 of us enjoyed all the service provided thru the suite (butler, concierge, drink package and 4 nights of specialty dining). The ship is older and there is a limited offering of activities on board. We were happy with the ports and arranged our own excursions with one exception when we went to La Alhambra with the ship's tour to ensure timely return before departing the port. The food in the specialty restaurants was quite good and we thought the service and kindness extended by all crew was genuinely excellent. Overall, we had a lovely trip and the adult kiddos will know what to look for when they cruise next with their pals. I am not an avid cruiser but appreciate the advantages of getting to more places within a short period of time without the hassle of packing and unpacking and making all the arrangements to travel independently from one locale to another.
Our steward and our butler buffed us out consistently. We had everything we needed. If you have a bumpy day at sea, this cabin is tough. The motor is loud when the ship picks up speed and you will definitely feel the motion when the ocean choppy.
