A cruise is what you make it.

We are diamond plus and cruise about 5-6 times a year while the ships are in Tampa. This last cruise we were upgraded to a suite. Something we didn't expect so I'll start with cabin review. Normally we book a rear facing balcony but the suite topped even our favorite balcony room. What can you say about a large balcony about twice the size of a regular balcony, a bathroom as large as many people have in their homes. The storage was more than excessive. A triple closet, shelves and draws we never used, a real king size bed, a bar, big screen TV, full size couch and a great cabin steward. There was a slight glitch with this upgrade. We were not told about the upgrade until after we checked in. Even the staff on the pier was confused. They told us there were 2 different guests assigned to the cabin we booked. So we went to the front desk and found out we had been upgraded. Surprise! The down side was we had no idea and also had to hunt for our luggage, but can't complain, we found our luggage on the 7th deck where our original cabin was booked, no big deal. Next time we hope they tell us in advance.

Aside from this issue the check in was smooth and took about 20 minutes.

What's to complain about? An upgrade to a suite? Thank you RC! Feel free to do it again.
