I am a big DCL fan and this is my 13th cruise with Disney; second cruise on the Dream. I was treating my daughter and 3 of her friends to a mega Disney vacation. We had just spent 4 days at Walt Disney World so this was to be a sun and fun cruise. We arrived at the port around 1 pm, checked in and basically walked on board. We headed up to Senses Spa to get our appointments and Rain Forest pass then grabbed a late lunch at Cabanas.

It was a wonderful experience. The cast members were great: our hostess, Patrice, was wonderful and we talked every morning. The dining staff was excellent, Kevin showed us several magic tricks at the end of dinner.

Our Port Adventure was a beach day at Blue Lagoon. It was so nice, the beach was clean, we had our pick of loungers. It was not crowded at all. It felt like we had the island to ourselves. Lunch and 2 drinks were included so we didn't have to pay out more unless you wanted an alcoholic drink. The water was cold but it was sunny and warm enough to enjoy the day. Unfortunately just before we were ready to leave a thunderstorm developed and we were drenched on the return trip. But they had lots of dry towels to hand out just past security check in. They certainly look out for you!

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 04D

Our cabin was well appointed and I liked the circular tub with bench. It was a little tight for 5 adults but we managed. Our hostess did a great job turning the room over. It was always ready for us when we returned from our various activities.
