We basically chose this cruise to see the Amazon River, This was our second Viking Ocean cruise and we were not disappointed. The ship, cabin and service were all absolutely outstanding and matched our previous Viking Ocean experience. We really enjoyed the live entertainment, but we weren't thrilled with several movie nights in the theater, We would have liked more shows by the extremely talented Viking singers, dancers, and musicians or some guest entertainers. The food was mostly outstanding and it was only flawed by an overly salted and overcooked piece of grouper that my husband had in the Dining Room. The shore excursions need some work, especially for the stops along the Amazon, but on this inaugural trip we didn't expect perfection. Overall, it was still and outstanding trip and well worth the cost. Our experience has moved Viking into our #1 cruise company and we've just signed up for several more Viking Ocean cruises.
