The primary reason we chose this cruise was the time of year and the number of days sailing. Also, I wanted to go through the Panama Canal. We were on the Silver Spirit several times, but this year we really liked the itinerary of the Silver Whisper. Overall the cruise was amazing. We loved the size of the ship. My fiancé came aboard just getting over major surgery for a dislocated ankle and a broken foot. Our cabin was in a great location and it was very easy for him to get around. We met the most lovely people. The staff was great! We love the choice of restaurants and overall the food was excellent. The quality of wines that are inclusive were pretty good as was the champagne. I did not care for the lectures given on this particular cruise. We liked our cabin except for the positioning of the TV which was on an angle. It wasn't as easy viewing the TV as it was on the Silver Spirit because it wasn't in front of us. We couldn't use the remote from our bed where we preferred to watch TV. We were disappointed that we had to pay for the Internet. $495 was a lot to pay and we needed the Internet because my fiancé worked from the ship. Last year sailing on Silver Spirit the Internet was included. We did not take any excursions which was fine, sometimes we just prefer staying on the ship. The pool and restaurant crew are the best! This voyage only had a few children and they were very well behaved. We were hoping that there wouldn't be any children on board, but the ones that were, were totally fine! There was a lot of activities, but we didn't participate in many. I loved the Champagne tasting! We have already signed up for our next cruise. We don't understand why some cruises are Venetian and get the additional 5%, whereas the one we just signed up on is not a Venetian sailing? It doesn't make any sense why some are and some are not.

Cabin V1

Our cabin overall was fine. Our only complaint was the TV. On the Silver Spirit we loved having 2 TV's. On the Whisper, the TV was not in front of us but on an angle. It was difficult to use the remote from our bed. My biggest complaint is the charge of $495 for WiFi. My husband works from the cruise. When we sailed holiday time in 2016-17 on the Silver Spirit, WiFi was included. This was a big disappointment for him.
