I saw an advert for the cruise of the the Eastern Mediterranean, which reminded me of the days spent in this area with the Royal Navy, many years ago.

The embarkation and disembarkation was so easy, compared with other cruise lines we had traveled with in the past. There were two places where the ship could not go alongside, they did NOT mess about with Tenders, in both places they had hired large boats, that went back and fro, from the ship all day. These boats could hold about 200 people at a time, it made going ashore the easiest I have ever seen.

For its age, the Norwegian Spirit was in excellent condition. The Captain and Crew were all so friendly and mixed with the passengers. Frequently on other ships, you never even see the Captain.
