Embarkation, and debarkation was very smooth at all points of the cruise. Our balcony room was clean with a tub shower. The ship was beautiful, but that is where the positive comments stop. Let's start with the room. The room carpet was frayed after only one cruise, and the soap pump dispenser did not work even after being replaced. We met one guest that had the door handle come off in his hand when he walked into the room. Our fruit basket was 5 pieces of fruit on a plate. The hallway outside of the room stained easily, and when washed remained discolored. Our room steward was great!! Dining at the 8 pm seating was an experience!! We sat down at 7:45 pm and ordered dinner, and desert at the same time. Our waiter and assistant were very nice, but things were way out of their control to change the experience. We ate there 5 out of 7 nights, and did not have a meal come out the way it was ordered. Medium was either raw or well done, and sent back. Could not even cut a chicken breast. The all inclusive dining had dinners that could be purchased if you did not like the food choices. In over 11 cruises we have never seen that. If you were not done with dinner by 9:10 pm the dinning room lights would turn up to full brightness. In other words get up and get out there is another seating! After dinner we went to the show that you had to reserve a seat for. We would have walked out of the first show, buy we were sandwiched in. We saw a total of three show, and they were consistently bad. The entertainment was in house entertainment. They had 4 main singers, and the back up group did not move their lips, even though you heard them singing on the speakers. The feeling was mutual with other guests that we spoke to about the entertainment. It was never full. The lounge singers were better than the entertainment. We purchased a gourmet coffee card since my wife likes Mocha's. After the second day of the specialty coffee bar trying to make a Mocha they finally stated that they are an Italian cruise line, and make espressos.

The specialty liquor store asked me to show them a picture of an overprice bottle of liquor that they were selling so that they can price match a lower price while we were at sea. NONE of the workers smiled!!! From the officers to the crew nobody recognized you as a client. No smile or hello! The photo personnel were great!! We were reviewing our pictures at 10 pm,and the lights went off on us at the photo ship. We pulled out our phones with the photo crew to see the pictures. The employees at the gift shops that we visited were friendly. The gym was small with only one class offered. The specialty restaurants were very small, and sold out the first morning of the cruise. We ended up getting into the Prime Cut a steak restaurant, and we had liquor vouchers that came with the cruise. Let me state that the specialty restaurants were not priced fixed as all other cruises. The menu was priced per item. We were asked by the waiters assistant if we would like some wine, and we told him that we would, but we had the vouchers. He told us to go to the bar to use them. A minute later the waiter comes by and asks if we wants wine, and we informed him that we were sent to the bar for drinks because the restaurant would not accept the voucher. He totally contradicted the other waiter, and discussed it in front of us! Now this is a specialty restaurant where the meat was ordered medium, and one of the two came out well done!! Breakfast cafeteria seemed to have the same food every morning.

The ship had a lot of activities for kids, but it is the adults that pay the bill. All announcements on the ship are made in 5-6 languages (about 10 minutes long). We even ran into travel agents that were checking out the ship, and would not recommend it to their clients. Just as a point of reference we had two balcony rooms.

Cabin Review

Cabin balcony

Nice tub shower combination on balcony room. Frayed carpet on the ships second voyage. GREAT cabin stewards for both rooms that we had booked.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Basically took a small local tour, saw Hell, played with the sea turtles for a few minutes.
