This was my first cruise with Carnival. I chose the Triumph because it was easy to get to New Orleans, as I was traveling with three of my grandchildren. I have cruised previously with NCL, and from some of the reviews I read, I wasn’t sure what to expect. To my surprise we had a very good time. Even though the ship is getting older, the crew keeps her in good shape. They are constantly cleaning, and are very nice to the guests. From our room steward greeting us every morning by name, to the dining staff being very helpful and friendly. My granddaughter celebrated her 10th. birthday on board and the dining room staff sang to her and danced with her. This made her day. All in all I would sail the Triumph again. The beds were comfortable, and we we given plenty of towels and beach towels. I didn’t go to any shows but I had fun in the casino. Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth. Perfect ship for children.

Progreso

Not much to look at when you arrive, but if you take the free shuttle to Merida, you can go to the beach, shop and just basically explore on your own. Would go here again.
