This is the 2nd time my wife and I have been on the MSC Divina. Our last time was in January of 2014, and since then, a few things have changed. Over all, this was a fantastic experience and a much needed getaway.

We traveled with 3 people total, my wife, her cousin and myself. We took a flat rate cab ($27) both ways. When we arrived at the Port of Miami, our porter, Clarence, was warm, inviting, fun, and made our first stop exciting and memorable. He had a big gold smile that kept us smiling all the way to the ship!

Being upgraded from inner state room to balcony was a bit life changing... I may never want to go back, but with MSC's affordable pricing for inner state rooms, that's going to be hard for someone with limited finances. We watched the sun rise and set several times throughout the trip, and that alone made it so worth it! But you can always see that off of the 14th deck if you have a non-balcony room. Plenty of chairs and space, so that's never a problem. The rooms themselves were fantastic. Very well maintained, and we had no issues. Simon Jose was our attendant, and he was very thorough and great at his job, not to mention how friendly and kind he was. Always went out of his way to say good morning or wish us a pleasant day, even as we passed by a room he was servicing. So our days always started right thanks to Simon!

Port Reviews

Nassau

In the Bahamas, we stopped at a local restaurant called Conch and Kalik. Get the wings. Just do it. Don't ask questions, just eat there if you're hungry. You'll meet a guy named Tommy, who showed us what the Bahamas is all about... great times, great food, and great beer! Tommy flagged us down to come over and it was his energy that really put our butts in those seats. Definitely a happy, life-loving guy... I'll be back only to find him and eat those wings! Otherwise, the Bahamas are sketchy. I was asked if I wanted buy hard drugs more than a handful of times, and we were advised not to use ATMs, walk alone, and or carry bags/purses. Definitely felt different than the other islands, so we really didn't spend much too time there. Tommy was definitely the highlight of the island. Thanks Tommy!
