Sail Date: Dec 2017
Cabin: Large Ocean-View Stateroom

We wanted to take my mother-in-law on a Christmas cruise to celebrate her upcoming 90th birthday. One reason we chose the Eurodam is that it is a relatively small ship. Holland America customer service was very helpful in guiding me to select appropriate staterooms to suit our needs for the cruise. We had three cabins close together on the main deck. We were quite happy with our midship location. (Except one issue that I'll talkabout below.)

Embarkation went very easily. Once we got inside the terminal they put my mother-in-law in a wheelchair so that she didn't have to walk very far. The rest of us breezed through the line and we were ready to embark in about 15 minutes. Disembarkation went fine, also. Again, a wheelchairwas provided to help my mother-in-law leave the ship.

Our cabins were clean and spacious, and Andy, our cabin steward was very attentive.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom

Cabin C

Our midship cabin was quite large with lots of storage. I always bring extra hangers, and I wouldn't have needed to. I like how it was arranged with the sitting area by the window. It was a pretty quiet location. The other two cabins we booked were 1044 and 1054. These are large inside cabins, and they are very roomy. A word about cabin 1054; it is underneath the Blues Club and it's very loud. They even offered to move our son and daughter who had that cabin, and told them that a lot of people complain about the noise. They gave them ear plugs since the kids didn't want to move away from the rest of us.
