A lot has been said about the 9th December cruise, the listing that terrified people was just that, terrifying. I think the deck could have told us not to worry much sooner. The cost of excursions is a joke, some walking tours were in excess of £30. They were well supported though. They took money off lots of people for a highlights DVD & never produced it. Not even sure we got a refund. Meet the captain, looked forward to it but he was 20 minutes late & we had to go for food & missed it. Smoking on all outside decks on starboard side is incredible, think about it, half the cruise the only sun is on the starboard side, try and get some & get kippered. One deck, highest obviously, would be enough. I hate formal nights (My wife loves them) Booked a balcony, complete waste of money on a winter cruise.
Sounds like I hated it eh? Well I had a pretty good time, liked the food & entertainment, drink a little expensive. Jason & Eifa did a great job with the choir, headliners theatre company were good. The girls, Teresa, Faye & Joana were great in Waterside late night snacks.
We booked again not long after we came back for Azura to Barbados in October. After we booked we got an offer from P&O giving us extra spend if we booked another cruise. That offer came too late.
Really just the usual ship cabin. Room boy kept it looking good & clean.
Get on the open top buses, 2 interesting routes, much cheaper than P&O excursions.
Strolled to the cathedral & market
Lovely place for a nice walk, track down the Holy Grail.
Loved it. Take the tour bus for 10 euros then have a nice walk.
Most interesting place but back on the ship by 2? Weird. Did get up the rock though.
