We chose this cruis as we wanted to see New Zealand in conjunction with our stay in Australia. We chose a mini suite and to be fair the room was very nice and comfortable apart from the toilet which periodically stuck and overflowed into the bedroom area, and the jacuzzi bath which when turned on blasted brown dirt out of the jets, and a sewage smell especially on sailing days. The white laundry I sent came back with a yellow tinge, they ruined my husbands dress shirt when ironing it, and the trousers I sent came back with lines where they shouldn't be any and my linen trousers looked like they had never seen the iron. Also they put a service charge per person on my cabin and that caused a little bit of a debate when I refused to pay it and asked for it to be removed. Our balcony had rusty areas which when damp dropped rust spots onto us. Service is the main restaurants was extremely slow and there were long delays between courses. The food was average and the descriptions on the menu in some instances bore no resemblance to what was presented. As a whole I would liken this to a 2 to 3 star all inclusive holiday in relation to both food and entertainment. Tender operations from the boat were a joke luckily we had trips booked in the ports so had priority but some people waited for 3 hours to get off the ship. The dress code in the restaurants was not followed especially on the formal nights. Areas of the ship smelt foisty especially the Wheelhouse Bar. Entertainment was average and the downside the bars closed very early.

On several nights we had a humming sound in our cabin and banging and clanging overhead which resulted in lack of sleep.

I did report all these issues both on the ship and by email to princess cruises but have recieved no response.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin ME

Cabin was good except for the issues with the toilet and jacuzzi. Seperate toilet, shower cubicle and bath. Great seating area and curtains to shut off bedroom will sleep up to four people.
