Took my mom on her first cruise (our fourth) and Mobile was an easy drive from her home in Moody AL.

The checkin was smooth, and the process of getting on board was (surprisingly) better than Disney or Norwegian in my experience. I credit the Mobile port staff for that, tho.

We published the Cheers package and DEFINITELY got our moneys worth - drinks are cheaper than Norwegian BTW (we did their Free Open Bar in a previous cruise). Not as much variety as Disney or NCl, but that wasn't as much of an issue as I would have thought. Also got the Beverage package for my son and probably broke even on that. Read more
