We are in the elite category on Celebrity and sailed on the Reflection a few years ago in the Med. This cruise was a little disappointing. Service seemed lacking. The bars were VERY under stocked. The ship was going into dry dock in the Bahamas for 11 nights after our cruise ended. This should not have been an excuse for the under stocked bars. Even the assistant bar manager admitted that the bars were not stocked well. Embarkation was a disappointment. We were put in the wrong line (there was not even a line for elite guests) and we waited as other lines were serviced prior to our line and we had been waiting longer. Cruising in the winter can be a crap shoot -- we could not dock in Key West due to high winds, so wound up having a crappy day at sea. We ate in the main dining room twice and had nice meals. The prices for the specialty restaurants are outrageous. We dined the last night of the cruise on the Porch. Food there was great, as was the service. We did not do any shore excursions; however, friends of ours had 2 excursions cancelled. Disembarkation was not great. Tons of people with luggage (who I am assuming were supposed to have early "walk off") were still on board well after 8:30 AM. At one point they had to "close" the process, as the lines for customs/immigration were too long and the area was too crowded. Celebrity needs to clean things up.
Our cabin was fine. Aft on deck 8. No noise from either above or below. Pillows were terrible. Our cabin steward was attentive and emptied our fridge of all liquor and water as soon as we asked (we had the beverage plan) On the last day; however, I noticed a charge for a water from our mini bar in the room and had to call to have it removed.
We have been to Cayman many times. We took a cab to Calico Jack's and spent time on the beach.
