My husband and I booked this New Year's Eve cruise for my 40th birthday. This was our first cruise. I booked with Royal because my parents have gone with them many times and are always happy with their trips.
The ship was beautiful, very clean and in excellent condition. The crew was constantly cleaning and were constantly seen cleaning railings and disinfecting which is so important during flu season.
We has a balcony room which was pretty small, but ok for just the two of us. I could not imagine putting anyone else in there with us though. The balcony was beautiful. We were on the 7th floor. Next time I would go a little higher because the life boats were below and blocked a little bit of our view. Our room was always clean and we had plenty of towels. The maid was constantly at our door trying to get in there which was a little bit annoying, but she was just doing her job.
Cabin was small. I can't imagine adding a cot or a third person to this room. The balcony was great. Room was very clean and well maintained daily by staff. We were on the 7th floor in 7620. The lifeboats were right under our balcony which obstructed the view a little but it really wasn't that much of an issue. Because this was my first cruise I didn't really even notice until another guest brought it up.
