As is every cruise, it is what you make it. We didn't do all the shows, but enjoyed the one we did (Cirque). Contrary to other reviewers, we actually enjoyed the meal with the show. We saw the band that played at The Cavern, we watched movies at Spice H2O, we took a towel making class. We found a great bartender at the Waves Bar (Sunil, who makes a drink called "come to papa" that was amazing). We had a horrible experience at Cagney's but enjoyed Le Bistro, Moderno, Wasabi and Teppenyaki. Santa was a cool experience to watch, although the paper decorations on board were dollar store cheap and cheesy. The fitness center was amazing. The spa was nice. I spent a lot of time on the balcony of the spa because it was so quiet, and I loved having the sauna in the ladies room for privacy. We gave the casino a small donation, but it was actually smokier, make that stale smoke, so it was definitely not as much fun as we had on our last cruise. Martini and champagne bar was always busy, but loved the piano player and drinks - it was a fun way to spend some time. We had a great time on this cruise with friends, but the ship itself wasn't Epic, so I know we'll try other NCL cruises, but probably won't come back to this ship.
Everything everyone says about the cabins is right - bed is short, bathroom set up is awkward, etc. We asked for a mattress pad and it helped make the bed better. Our cabin Steward very quickly got anything we asked for. We had a HUGE balcony, which would have been great except they no longer allow loungers on the balcony, so it was a crazy amount of wasted space. There was plenty of storage in the room, and we never really felt cramped. We did put an over the door shoe rack on the door to the toilet room and that gave a bit more privacy.
we walked around the port, had a great burger at Margaritaville, enjoyed the sunshine, drinks and music.
