My lovely wife and I just shared one of the most amazing vacation experiences of our lives aboard the Royal Caribbean ship Freedom Of The Seas for New Years Eve 2017! We were so happy with the experience that we have already booked our next cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas for New Years Eve 2019 (2 years from now).

Our travel agent recommended this ship to us as a perfect first cruise experience and we couldn't agree with her more - not too big and not too small with plenty to do. This ship has numerous awards as a perfect first time experience. The ship is in very clean condition and the staff is first rate.

It took us about an hour to clear the check in process and only about 15 minutes to exit the ship and clear customs by taking advantage of the express checkout process whereby you are first off the ship and carry all of your own luggage. We will definitely do this again.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

Our ocean view balcony room was more than comfortable for two adults even if a little tight at times with two people trying to get ready to go out at the same time. We don't recommend sharing the room with 4 adults but 2 small kids could work if you're on a budget. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Balcony was plenty large enough for 2 people to sit outside comfortably and even recline the chairs to sunbathe for awhile too.
