This cruise was an adventure, but not in the way we expected. We were disappointed that we didn't see more of the rainforest while in Brazil (which we expected to be the highlight), but we did enjoy the stops in Brazil despite the poverty level there, which was astounding. The included tours were unexciting throughout the tour, and the few "optional" tours we took could use some polishing as well. Many of our guides were obviously newbies, and unprofessional. Viking did a fine job on the ship - the embarkation and debarkation were well organized and painless, and the staff and food were wonderful. We were fortunate to be offered both a galley tour and a bridge tour and enjoyed both. The fitness room is too small for a ship this size. We often had to wait for equipment. I did get a cold while on board and was quickly and cheaply given antihistamines and decongestants by the medical staff. As many others onboard, we were disappointed that we missed French Guiana on the way down, especially since that stop is what necessitated yellow fever shots, but not THAT disappointed - it's not like there's a lot to see there.

The Rivers are awesome

Cabin Review

Cabin 4021
Cabin designed well for a small space, especially the bathroom. Cabin staff were solicitous and friendly. Hard workers.
