We made a last minute decision for New Years Cruise and chose Allure of the Seas since it was available and price was good.

We have done 50-60 cruises in the past 20 years and have some loyalty to both RCCL and Celebrity which we find to be a good cruise for value. Our preference is for Celebrity as we feel they offer a few notches in quality up from RCCL.

Allure was an ok cruise. The ship is of course overwhelming to most, and I found a few good points about the ship and some bad ones.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D8

Excellent. Small in size but adequate. Nice balcony. Great stateroom attendant. We though this cabin was the best since it was near the back elevators, on the same level with the Diamond Club, and easy access to the dining, Boardwalk and other main decks.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Nice private beach.

Falmouth

Not even sure why we stop here. Nothing to do except go to the store at shipside.

Cozumel

This is a good port for shopping and walking. The beaches are nice too.
