My first time with Hurtigruten, and picked the Northern Lights cruise and to be away for Xmas/New Year.
My expectation was that I would be on a merchant ship that takes passengers, how wrong was I. Clearly it was dual purpose with some nice refinements in the passenger areas for relaxation.
Whilst the passenger to crew ratio is not that of a cruise liner, you would not know that, they all do multiple tasks, and very well. of the two girls that serviced my cabin, I would see one serving me dinner, and the other in reception, and very personable.

Small cabin, 2 berth, had had some refinement removed, but on the basis I was only going to be sleeping in it was comfortable enough.
