Because most of the content of a cruise review is subjective, knowing some information upfront about the reviewer is important. We are elite on Celebrity, in our mid sixties, work full time. We have cruised on several other cruise lines.
Our goal for this particular cruise was to veg out; meaning we intended to do as little as possible, while eating as much as possible, and still have one super size outfit that would fit for the flight home. Therefore, no ports will be reviewed, and I am limiting my comments to the cabin, entertainment, Michael's club, and of course, the food.
We arrived at the port in San Diego during prime loading time, approximately 12pm. The terminal was a zoo, with very long lines going through security. Note that the far right side of the room had much shorter lines, so that is where we opted to go. After security, more long lines waited to get the usual ship card, and do the final paper work before boarding. Because we had booked Concierge Class, we were accommodated with a short wait in the "suites" line. Our entire embarkation took about 10 minutes, totally pain free.
