We booked this cruise from Costco vacations, and found a pretty(sort of) cheap itinerary (even with mini-suite for a family of 3). The ship departs from Orlando, a really nice city with lots of fun theme parks. Embarkation was pretty fast and very organized. The staff was very nice. Our room was 10094, it was very cozy and although a lot of people find the bathroom confusing, we actually thought it was pretty convenient. Our cabin steward (Cyrus) was very kind and changed our bedsheets twice a day (WOW!). Since it's in the middle of the ship, it's very easy to get wherever you want to go quickly. And, theres almost no noise. Buffets were very nice, food was great and there was lots of choices. We didn't send our child to any children's clubs because we felt that it was supposed to be vacation and he should get a chance to relax.
The thing we loved most was the "freestyle cruise" theme. The Garden Cafe is almost open all day so whenever we get hungry we just go grab some snacks, take it back to our room, and eat it on our balcony. Also, you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner anytime you want unless if it's specialty dining. Speaking of that, specialty was awesome too. The pool is great most of the time, but at noon it gets really crowded and dirty. The waterslides (especially the Epic Plunge) were pretty good too.
Now for the bad stuff. WARNING: Do NOT do Room Service unless you absolutely need to. We tried to, but you have to wait almost one hour and pay a service fee of $7.95. The worst was the casino. It covers more than half of deck 6 and there's that really awful smoking smell (i thought that was illegal?) We tried multiple attempts to eat at Shanghai's but the smoke made us gag so we went to the jogging track to get some fresh air but then there was someone smoking there too!! Then we just went back to our cabin feeling very annoyed.
Very nice and cozy, well kept and clean.
