Been on 34 previous cruises as a professional travel writer, now retired, and chose this Christmas cruise to see what TUI had done to the former Legend of the Seas! After spending a total of almost £8,000 for a Grand Suite onboard, and Premium flight from Cardiff, I expected to get a touch of luxury - and wasn't disappointed.

The flight was seamless with an excellent cabin crew, plenty of free drinks, and pretty good food for airline standards. We were whizzed through immigration In Montego Bay, and didn't see our baggage from checking in at Cardiff until we reached our cabin.

The ship is elderly compared to some, but spotlessly clean, and great attention to onboard hygiene. Read more
